So I read the other day about chia seeds, so I went n got some. They are little black seeds. I put them in my taco casserole for lunch the day I bought them, because the article said they don't really alter taste they do expand and so makes you feel fuller. I was a little apprehensive to put them in in case I wasn't impressed since I used my lunch time to go get them. But much to my surprise they didn't taste funny and weren't crunchy in my food like I was afraid they would be. and they do help you feel fuller. Or they did me anyway. They have alot of protein and fiber so plus and plus.... I'm sold. Later that evening I put them in my protein shake. The article said they would thicken a shake. I guess it did thicken it but I did notice a taste I didn't care for has to be the seeds because it was the only difference in the shake. So in food its fine in shake blach! Only aversion is it kinda looks like little black bugs in my oatmeal... not so appetising! Any who that got me thinking why cant these healthy "super foods" look more I dunno YUMMY?!?!? lol
I have to pat myself on the back here...I have gotten up and run a 5 k on my tready most days of the week for 2 weeks now!! It really feels good to get workouts knocked out before anyones even up! Miss bootcamp soreness tho maybe I will go tonight.
midnight 5k friday night Hopefully I will make it staying up that late haha
