13 in 2013 challenge

I have lost my mind and decided to join this challenge. I will run 13 races in 2013.10k races to be more precise! I like that distance:) ill keep ya posted join me if you want.....girls gone sporty dot com:)

Out of my funk

I'm getting my mojo back I guess! My work schedules rotate and it messes me all up. Because one week I work 8-5 with an hour lunch so I run that hour then the other two weeks In the rotation I work 7-330 with 30 min lunch and there's no running there just a 15 min walk so that I can eat too.... I just feel so guilty taking time to work out. Which my kids contribute to....mom please don't go today....come throw the football with me.....do you have to do that all the time?.....can I have something to eat?.....all completely reasonable requests and I end up with the ill do extra tomorrow syndrome. So this is the week I get to run at lunch and don't feel like I'm cheating anyone out of time-I usually do really well on this week:).

Last week however was not it was an early week and my kids wanted to go down to friends houses and play. They are too young to go alone so I went....every.....day.....and ran up and down the street they were on.....boringgggg...but I got in my steps but my eating was crazzzzyyyy! I am a cracker whore! I love crackers! Why? I have no idea but I do any kind of cracker is doomed in my house they will be devoured! And they add up quick! They are gone and won't be back!

Goals for December
•drink my water! (I have not been doing this and it shows in my eating. If I don't drink I crave everything under the sun!)

•get 20000 steps on my fitbit daily(this weekend will be a challenge in that because I will be driving my dad from
Florida to Texas -can u say griswalds lol)

•stay out of the junk! Fix my lunches as usual. Eat salad when I feel munchy. (I'm
Always wanting to be in the kitchen right when I get home munching on something so I think I will start having a small salad straight away when I get home maybe that'll help:)

I think I'm going to do the miracle match half marathon in January. Everytime I do one my knee hurts tho for weeks but I've come to the realization that its just part of the recovery. Have started my training.

Then in march I have another relay in Texas with my team and then one from New Orleans to Pensacola!!! Can't wait like a kid waiting for Christmas! If you haven't tried a relay like this I highly recommend! The comraderee (yea sorry if thats misspelled its not my strong suit) among runners just plain rocks!
