Ran the beachside half marathon today in vero beach Florida :) it was awesome!! Here's some pics....first bridge we ran over then I was on the second bridge taking a pic of the first one :) view was beautiful!
Race was awesome I felt great the whole time;) rt knee pain started about mile 8 and its sore but other wise I feel great and I'm so happy I pr'd beat my last time Today 2:31:52. Last 2:40:5? This race course was great-now water after it tho I've never been to a race with no water......
And I was noticin I've run 4 half marathons and none have actually been 13.1 miles lol I guess it's hard to plan out a course?.!?! Lol oh well extra calories burned :)
Way to go!!!
ReplyDeleteYou'll find that they are off most of the time on your garmin or whatever...because of all of the weaving around other runners you do. It's really bad in large races - my TNT coach always talks about this one time she ran a marathon and then started to freak out when she had passed 26.2 miles and the finish was nowhere in sight. Afterwards, she realised it was because she was weaving all over the place.
ReplyDeleteThe 13.1 is the "straight" line from start to finish. Your journey will always vary!
